Overview

This document is the Appropriation (Amendment) Act, 2011 of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It amends the principal Appropriation Act, 2011, to authorize a total expenditure of N4,484,736,648,992 (four trillion, four hundred and eighty-four billion, seven hundred and thirty-six million, six hundred and forty-eight thousand, nine hundred and ninety-two Naira) from the Consolidated Revenue Fund for the year ending December 31, 2011. The amended budget comprises N417,824,288,743 for statutory transfers, N495,096,682,115 for debt service (domestic and foreign), N2,425,065,124,967 for recurrent (non-debt) expenditure, and N1,146,750,553,167 for capital expenditure via the Development Fund. The Act includes provisions for release of funds, virement (transfers between heads), excess revenue treatment, special fund accounts, due process certification, and reporting on internally generated revenue and foreign assistance. It also modifies the First Schedule, detailing allocations to various ministries, departments, and agencies, including the Presidency, National Assembly, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Niger-Delta Development Commission, Universal Basic Education, National Judicial Council, and others.
