Overview

The document is the 2017 Antenatal Care (ANC) Orientation Package for Health Care Providers published by the Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) of Nigeria. It introduces a revised ANC model based on the 2016 WHO ANC Guidelines, which recommend a minimum of eight contacts during pregnancy to improve maternal and perinatal outcomes. The package aims to orient health professionals on updated recommendations to reduce stillbirths, perinatal deaths, and improve integrated service delivery.
