Overview
The National Senior Citizens Centre Act, 2017 is a Nigerian law that establishes the National Senior Citizens Centre to cater for the needs of senior citizens. The Act is divided into parts covering declaration of policy, establishment and composition of the Governing Board, functions of the Centre and the Board, appointment of a Director-General, staff regulations, pensions, funding, and other administrative matters. The Act also covers the appointment and duties of the Director-General, staff regulations, sources of funding including government allocations and gifts, exemption from tax, annual estimates and audits, annual reports, disqualification of members, and the power to make regulations.
