Overview

This circular, issued by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, directs all Federal Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in Nigeria to prioritize the procurement of vehicles manufactured by local automotive assembly plants. It references a prior directive from a 1994 official gazette and reiterates the President's instruction that MDAs must patronize Nigerian-made vehicles. However, in cases where the required vehicles are unavailable from local sources, agencies may seek presidential approval to procure alternative brands.
